As per early estimates, the film collected approximately, Rs 35-40 crore in its Hindi version and Rs 105-108 crore nett including all versions (Tamil, Telugu and Hindi) .Trade sources said the opening day of over Rs 100 crore was historic in terms of box office, far surpassing the opening day of the previous edition of the franchise which had earned Rs 50 crore on opening day (all versions included).
'Baahubali 2' has now become the first film in history to make it to the Rs 100 crore mark on day one itself.The film, which was released to over 6,000 cinema screens across India , saw a record level of advance bookings.
The film opening to full houses, witnessed an occupancy as close to 100 per cent in a 8 am show.The film has far surpassed the opening day collections of Bollywood blockbusters like Dhoom 3 [Rs 36.22 crore], Dangal [Rs 29.78 crore], PK [ Rs 27 crore], Kick [Rs 26.52 crore] and Dabangg 2 [Rs 21 crore] .
Going by the film’s performance on its opening day , it looks set to create records at the box office.Trade sources say the film is likely to earn over Rs 250 crore for the Hindi version only.Helmed by S S Rajamouli, Baahubali: The Conclusion stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Tamannah Bhatia in lead roles.
