Venkaiah Naidu elected as the 13th Vice president of India

New Delhi: In what could have been a one sided contest, The nominee was elected as the next of the country.

Around  67.8 percent (516) votes were cast in favour of Venkaiah Naidu while nominee and grandson of Mahatma Gandhi bagged only 32.2 pc (244) votes . It is the first instance that no congress nominee is holding any of the top four constitutional position of the country. (WD)
