What! NSA to be slapped for cow slaughter in this state

Lucknow: The government has reiterated its commitment to protecting cows in the state and said (NSA) would be imposed on those, who are involved in cow slaughter. This was clarified in a fresh directive by Director General of Police (DGP) Sulkhan Singh while reviewing the law and order situation in the state yesterday.

The Government Order(GO) of on was issued during the previous Akhilesh Yadav government but it was not implemented at all. But now the police officials are again trying to remind the districts on implementation of the directive.
is among the states in the country where cow slaughter is banned. Concerned with law and order situation, the DGP, who held meeting with all zonal ADG's and other top officials had drawn a 20-point agenda for improving policing and improving law and order situation on the ground. This 20-point list also mentions ' strict check on cow slaughter and movement of cows and related animals for slaughter. Those caught in the act should be booked under the NSA and the Gangster act.
Apart from it, the DGP had ordered for following steps including identification and action against those policemen who are hand in gloves with criminals, a vigilant drive against dealers of illicit liquor, gambling dens, launch a drive against use of wrong number plates in vehicles, illegal use of pressure horns and black film in cars , to prepare a list of Mafia and criminals in every district and ensure action against them, to launch a drive to check chain snatching and harassment of girls and women, major drive against land Mafia,to bring up a police outpost outside each jail so that a check could be kept on those coming to meat the inmates.
