South Korea upset defending champ. Germany by 2-0, ends WC journey

Kazan: It was a shocker for after defending champions lost 2-0 to S Korea crashing out of the here on wednesday.
For S Korea Kim Young-gwon scored in 90+2'and Son Heung-min 90+6' doubled their lead just before the final whistle.Germany four-time winners were last eliminated in a World cup first round in 1938, failed to maintain their dominance once they had, scored only twio goals in their three group games.
 
South Korea, also eliminated, had the best early chance of the game when Germany keeper Manuel Neuer spilled a free kick in the 19th minute but managed to recover quickly and slap the ball away.(UNI)
