Yamaha Aerox E Electric Scooter Launched at Rs. 2.82 Lakh With 117 Km Range and 95.5 Km/h Top Speed
Yamaha Motor India has launched Aerox E electric scooter in the Indian market, marking the company's second electric two-wheeler in India. The new electric maxi-scooter has been priced at Rs.2.82 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Aerox E is priced nearly twice as high as its petrol-powered version and is around Rs.1.09 lakh more expensive than the Yamaha EC-06. With this price tag, it has become the most expensive Yamaha two-wheeler currently available in India.

117 Km Range and Powerful Electric Motor
The Yamaha Aerox E is powered by a 9.4 kW (12.6 bhp) electric motor that produces 48 Nm of peak torque. The scooter comes with two removable 1.5 kWh battery packs, offering a combined capacity of 3 kWh.
The removable batteries can be charged separately at home. Yamaha claims that the scooter can deliver an IDC-certified range of up to 117 km on a single full charge.
The electric scooter can achieve a top speed of 95.5 km/h when the Boost Function is activated in Power Mode. The Aerox E has a kerb weight of 139 kg.

Charging Time
According to Yamaha, charging a single battery from 0 to 100 per cent takes around 3 hours and 10 minutes.

Three Riding Modes and Boost Function
The Yamaha Aerox E comes with three riding modes:
- Eco Mode
- Standard Mode
- Power Mode
The scooter also features a Boost Function, which provides maximum power output for up to 10 seconds at a time.
It also gets a Reverse Mode, making it easier to move the scooter while parking or navigating through tight spaces.

The Aerox E comes equipped with several modern features, including:
- Full LED lighting system
- Colour TFT instrument cluster
- Turn-by-turn navigation
- Smart Key
- "Answer Back" function to locate the scooter easily in parking areas
- Front and rear disc brakes
- Single-channel ABS
Design
In terms of design, the Aerox E retains the sporty maxi-scooter styling of its petrol counterpart. However, the electric version has slightly reduced under-seat storage due to the placement of battery packs.
Yamaha has also made some ergonomic changes to accommodate the electric powertrain while maintaining the scooter's premium riding experience.
