Irfan Khan's son Babil Khan begins cinematic career with Mollywood
Actor Babil Khan has started shooting for his debut Malayalam film “Gandhi Bazaar Sunday Market” in Siliguri, marking a fresh and important phase in his acting career.The film is being directed by renowned filmmaker Babu Janardhanan and is considered a milestone in Khan’s career. The project stars an ensemble cast including Aparna Balamurali, Deepak Parambol, Nikhil Nair, Johny Antony, Jagadeesh, Sudheer Karamana, Athmiya Rajan, and Jaishankar.
Khan said, “Malayalam cinema has always been very close to my heart because the stories there are told with utmost honesty, sensitivity, and emotional depth. As an actor, I always believe that true growth happens when you immerse yourself in new worlds, new people, and new emotions. It’s a very exciting, emotional, and creatively fulfilling experience for me to begin shooting Gandhi Bazaar Sunday Market in Siliguri.”
Khan further expressed excitement about collaborating with filmmaker Janardhanan and sharing screen space with an accomplished cast. “I’ve always wanted to be a part of stories that have a profound impact on people and challenge me to improve not only as an actor but also as a human being. This film gives me that opportunity. Entering Malayalam cinema is not just a new chapter in my career, but a journey that I feel extremely fortunate and humbled to be embarking on.”
