Kangra:Bollywood actress and filmmaker Kangana Ranaut, the recipient of several awards, including three National and four Filmfare, on Monday called on former Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Shanta Kumar at Palampur, apart from former Transport Minister and senior Congress leader G S Bali, inviting them to attend the marriage of her brother, scheduled in November.
The versatile actress, who featured six times on Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list and was honoured with the country's fourth highest civilian award - Padma Shri, recently hogged limelight for her statements on the death of fellow actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Amid tight security, Kangana visited Mr Kumar's residence in Palampur and sought the blessings of Swami Vivekananda in the premises of Vivekananda Medical Research Center. Kangana had accepted Swami Vivekananda as her Guru and came out of her traumatic times with Swami Ji's blessings.
Later, she visited Mr Bali's residence at Kangra. She invited the leaders to attend the marriage ceremony of her brother at her residence in Mandi next month. She said that she had family relations with both of them, so invited them for the auspicious occasion.(UNI)
