India's most iconic quiz show, "Kaun Banega Crorepati" (KBC), is set to return for its 17th season, with Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan once again stepping into the role of host, premiering from August 11.
Since its inception 2000, KBC has emerged as a cultural juggernaut, seamlessly blending erudition, aspiration and storytelling. KBC is once again set to make a grand comeback with its new season. The latest season arrives with the bold tagline "Jahaan Akal Hai Whan Akad Hai", which celebrates the silent pride that stems from wisdom.

Sony channel has officially announced the show's return with an intriguing promotional video. The promo features a compelling scene where a wealthy individual berates a salesman over a damaged London-imported carpet. The man explains the durability of the carpet and asserts, 'Even in Bhadohi, we make carpets. Let us send you one', before offering him money, subtly turning the tables. Then, Big B enters the frame and voices the announcement, 'Jahan Akal Hai, Wahan Akad Hai (Where there is wisdom, there is pride)'. This dramatic introduction sets the stage for what promises to be another engaging season of the beloved quiz show.

Adding a flourish of nostalgia, Amitabh Bachchan delivers the season's launch announcement in the distinctive voice Vijay Dinanath Chauhan, the legendary character he immortalised in "Agneepath".The 17th season of KBC is set to exclusively premiere on Sony Entertainment Television.(UNI)
