Kumkum Bhagya Actress Sanchita Ugale Dies by Suicide at 22; Appeared in Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava
Television actress Sanchita Ugale, known for her performances in popular TV shows such as Kumkum Bhagya and Wagle Ki Duniya, allegedly died by suicide at her residence in Maharashtra's Palghar district, police said on Monday. She was 22 years old.
According to reports, Sanchita lived with her parents and her 15-year-old younger sister in Achole village of Nalasopara. On Sunday evening, around 5:30 p.m., her sister had stepped out for some work, while no other family members were present at home.
During this time, Sanchita allegedly hanged herself from a ceiling fan in her bedroom using a saree. After the incident came to light, family members and local residents rushed her to a municipal hospital, where doctors declared her dead after examination.
Police officials said no suicide note was recovered from the scene. The exact reason behind the actress's death remains unknown, and an investigation is currently underway.
Authorities are examining all possible angles in the case. Achole Police have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and have begun questioning family members and close associates to determine the circumstances that may have led to the incident.

Sanchita Ugale was a familiar face in both television and films. She portrayed the character Sukoon in the film Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi and also appeared as Tarabai in Bollywood movie Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal. Her work in television serials such as Kumkum Bhagya and Wagle Ki Duniya helped her gain recognition among viewers.
