Priyanka Chopra Joins Oscar Winner Russell Crowe in New Sci-Fi Thriller Bluefly
Global star Priyanka Chopra and Academy Award-winning actor Russell Crowe are set to share the screen in the upcoming science-fiction action thriller Bluefly.
The film will be directed by Nimrod Antal and produced by Arianne Fraser and Delphine Perrier for Highland Film Group, Michael Jefferson for Polite Society, David Frigerio for Broken Open Pictures, Deborah Glover for G2 Dispatch, and Vanessa Yao Guo.
Priyanka Chopra confirmed the development by sharing a post on her Instagram account. The actress, who recently appeared in The Bluff, simply captioned the post, "Onto the next."
Russell Crowe remains one of Hollywood's most celebrated actors, best known for his Oscar-winning portrayal of Maximus in Ridley Scott's Gladiator, which won five Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
According to reports, Bluefly follows the story of a United Nations translator struggling to cope with a personal tragedy. The character becomes involved in a secret mission in the Congo to retrieve a crashed aircraft that officially does not exist. As the team ventures deeper into militia-controlled territory, the mission becomes increasingly perilous, revealing secrets that could change everything.
Apart from Bluefly, Priyanka Chopra is also preparing for her return to Indian cinema with director S. S. Rajamouli's highly anticipated film Varanasi. The project, which also stars Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran, marks the actress's first Indian film in eight years and is expected to be released in April 2027.
