High-Tech Security Measures for Gujarat Lokrakshak Recruitment Exam: GPS Tracking, AI Surveillance to Ensure Fair Conduct

With over 2.6 lakh candidates set to appear for the Gujarat Lokrakshak Recruitment written examination on June 14, authorities have rolled out an extensive technology-driven security framework to ensure a transparent, secure, and malpractice-free recruitment process. The state government is leaving no stone unturned to safeguard the integrity of the examination, deploying advanced monitoring systems and strict administrative controls across all exam centres.

At the same time, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has also approved a major infrastructure initiative to upgrade six key roads in Kutch district into four-lane highways, signaling continued focus on development alongside administrative reforms.

GPS Tracking and Centralized Monitoring

To maintain the confidentiality and security of question papers, authorities have introduced GPS-based tracking for all vehicles transporting examination materials. The system will enable real-time monitoring of vehicle movement from dispatch points to examination centres.

A state-of-the-art central control room has also been established to oversee the entire examination process. Senior officials will monitor live updates and activities from exam centres across the state, allowing quick intervention in case of any irregularities or security concerns.

AI-Based Facial Recognition to Prevent Impersonation

In a significant technological upgrade, Artificial Intelligence-powered facial recognition systems will be used to verify candidates' identities.

The technology is aimed at eliminating the possibility of impersonation and preventing "dummy candidates" from appearing in place of registered applicants. Every candidate entering an examination centre will undergo facial verification, ensuring that only genuine applicants are allowed to sit for the test.

Officials believe the digital verification process will significantly enhance the credibility and fairness of the recruitment exercise.

Strict Restrictions Around Exam Centres

To maintain law and order and ensure a distraction-free environment, local administrations have imposed several restrictions around examination venues.

Photocopy and xerox shops located near examination centres have been instructed to remain closed during exam hours. Additionally, the use of loudspeakers in surrounding areas has been prohibited to prevent disturbances and help candidates concentrate.

Police and district authorities have been directed to strictly enforce these measures throughout the examination period.

Special Arrangements Across Seven Districts

The Lokrakshak Recruitment Examination will be conducted at 879 schools and colleges spread across seven districts of Gujarat. Approximately 2.63 lakh candidates are expected to participate.

Given the scale of the examination, authorities have prepared detailed plans covering traffic management, crowd control, security deployment, and candidate facilities. Multiple government departments are working in coordination to ensure the examination is conducted smoothly and efficiently.

The use of GPS-enabled logistics, AI-powered facial recognition, centralized surveillance, and strict administrative controls reflects the government's effort to strengthen transparency in public recruitment.
