At the new Wadaj Circle in Ahmedabad, a magnificent ‘Bharat Mata’ (Mother India) sculpture—symbolizing patriotism and national pride—is set to become a new icon for the city. Crafted by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) at a cost of approximately Rs 50 lakhs, this colossal and visually stunning statue was formally unveiled by the Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation, Amit Shah. On this occasion, the Union Minister paid homage to the statue of Bharat Mata and delivered an inspiring message of patriotism to the large gathering present at the venue.

**Grandeur and Features of the Bronze Statue**
Installed near the new Wadaj Circle, this distinctive sculpture is crafted entirely from high-quality bronze. Standing at an impressive height of approximately 15 to 18 feet, this statue holds the distinction of being the largest ‘Bharat Mata’ statue in the city of Ahmedabad. This monumental work of art weighs between 3,500 and 5,000 kilograms and was brought to completion by skilled artisans after nearly six months of tireless, round-the-clock effort.

**An Unparalleled Atmosphere of Patriotism at the Unveiling**
During this grand unveiling ceremony, the entire area surrounding Wadaj Circle was steeped in the spirit of national love. The moment the Union Home Minister unveiled the statue, the massive crowd gathered there erupted in thunderous chants of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" and "Vande Mataram." To ensure that this divine statue remains a captivating focal point even after sunset, special lighting arrangements and unique decorative features have also been installed.

**Presence of Dignitaries, Including the Chief Minister**
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was a special guest at this dignified celebration. He was joined by State Minister Darshana Vaghela, Ahmedabad Mayor Hitesh Barot, Deputy Mayor Anju Shah, and Standing Committee Chairman Kamlesh Patel. Furthermore, a large number of local dignitaries—including local Members of Parliament, Members of the Legislative Assembly, and Municipal Corporation officials—were present to witness this historic moment.
