Pakistani LeT Terrorist Entered Kashmir for Terror Mission, Ended Up Getting Hair Transplant in Srinagar

Hair Transplant
A Pakistani terrorist sent to India allegedly to carry out attacks and strengthen terror networks in Kashmir took an unexpected detour — undergoing a hair transplant procedure in Srinagar before being arrested by security agencies.

The accused, identified as Mohammed Usman Jatt alias “Chinese,” is linked to the Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba. According to reports, Jatt had infiltrated into Jammu and Kashmir with plans related to terror operations but became preoccupied with treating his long-standing hair loss problem after arriving in the Valley.

As per a PTI report, Jatt was arrested by Srinagar Police in April. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) said Jatt also revealed the identities of several people who had sheltered him. The information reportedly helped Srinagar Police uncover a large network of overground workers (OGWs) linked to the terror outfit in North Kashmir and Srinagar city.

Officials said his questioning also revealed several unusual personal details.

Investigators claimed that during terror training in Pakistan, Jatt had been shown videos portraying Kashmir in a completely different light. However, after entering the Valley, he was reportedly surprised by the local infrastructure, facilities, and lifestyle.

Officials said Jatt had suffered from severe hair loss from a young age, which reportedly affected his self-confidence. He believed advanced cosmetic procedures such as hair transplants were available only in Western countries.

According to investigators, another Pakistani terrorist named Zargam introduced him to a local shopkeeper in Jammu and Kashmir who had undergone a successful hair transplant. Impressed by the results, Jatt allegedly decided to get the procedure done himself.

With the shopkeeper’s assistance, he reportedly contacted a clinic in Srinagar and underwent the hair transplant before returning to Jammu. Authorities said he later travelled to Malerkotla in Punjab, where he spent time watching Turkish television shows and attempting to learn English.

During interrogation, Jatt allegedly admitted that he wanted to obtain forged Aadhaar and PAN cards, and eventually secure a passport to flee India, similar to another operative identified as Umar alias “Khargosh.” This eventually led to his arrest.

Investigators believe Umar, originally from Karachi, Pakistan, managed to acquire fake travel documents, including a forged passport allegedly procured from Jaipur in 2024, before escaping to Indonesia and later relocating to a Gulf country.
