'His Name Is Probably ........': Jos Buttler Names the Indian Star Who Could Break His Record
England star Jos Buttler has become the highest run-scorer in men's T20 cricket, surpassing West Indies legend Kieron Pollard. Shortly after achieving the milestone, Buttler made a bold prediction about India's teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi, saying that the youngster could eventually break his record.
The England batter believes that Suryavanshi possesses the talent, fearlessness, and ability needed to become one of the greatest T20 players of his generation.

Speaking after setting the new record, Buttler said becoming the leading run-scorer in T20 cricket was a proud moment for him, but he also acknowledged that records are meant to be broken.
According to reports, Buttler said, "Someone will surpass it one day, and his name's probably Sooryavanshi."
The England star also described Suryavanshi as one of the most exciting young talents in world cricket. Earlier this year, Buttler had called the teenager "the best player I've ever seen for his age" while praising his remarkable performances at such a young age. Buttler Opens Up About His Return to Form
The 35-year-old cricketer also reflected on the ups and downs of professional cricket. Buttler admitted that only a few months ago he was struggling with poor form, but recent performances have helped him regain confidence.
He explained that athletes usually face two choices during difficult periods: either give up or continue working hard to rediscover their best form. Buttler said he chose to fight back and was rewarded for his efforts.
He said, “Funny how quickly cricket can change. One day you're the dog, one day you're the lamp post. A few months ago I was struggling for form. And then, in the last few weeks especially, I probably feel like I'm batting as well as I ever have. It's been a lot of fun. You've only ever got two options. You either give up or you got the energy to keep going and try to rediscover your form. So that's all the things I've been focussing on. I've had energy and determination to try and get back there, and that's what I've done.”
The England batter also spoke about his unique batting routine, revealing that the shoulder movement he makes before facing deliveries was originally suggested by one of his coaches to help him feel more relaxed at the crease. Over time, it became a signature part of his batting style.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi's Remarkable Rise
Suryavanshi enjoyed a sensational IPL 2026 campaign, finishing as the tournament's highest run-scorer with 776 runs and winning the Orange Cap. His outstanding performances earned him a place in India's T20 squad.
The young batter announced himself on the international stage with a blistering half-century against Zimbabwe, scoring 50 runs from just 19 deliveries. He followed it with scores of 20 from nine balls and an impressive 81-run innings from 49 deliveries, showing glimpses of the talent that has attracted praise from some of the biggest names in world cricket.
