Indian, OZ teams arrive in Vizag for T-20 series

Visakhapatnam: Fans are expecting 'unusual fun' from the clash of five time world champions and two timer world beaters when the two teams would descend on
cricket stadium with Aussies inaugurating their India tour with first T-20 to be played here on Sunday.
Indian players gathered at coming from various destinations of the country while team Australia arrived together from Hyderabad on Friday evening.During India's tour of Down Under 2018-19,  India drew the three-match T20 series 1-1. Therefore, the Men in Blue will be certainly looking to clinch this series 2-0.
So far, India has played nine ODIs on this ground and won six. In one tournament, the host team lost one match to West Indies and tied another. One more match was cancelled. The last match played on the ACA-VDCA cricket stadium was on October 24 last.
The ground has history of hosting T-20s also. Two matches were played in this stadium. One match against New Zealand was abandoned due to bad weather in 2012, while in the other held in 2016, India defeated Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, elaborate preparations are going on at the stadium as the fans are already browsing online sites to pick-up Team India T-shirts, caps and national flags.The enthusiasm of the fans can be guaged by the fact that the tickets for the 23,000 capacity stadium were  sold out by Thursday itself , the sale for which began some ten days ago.(UNI)
