Rafale Jets Likely to Dazzle Crowds at Historic Namo Ghat Air Show

Air Show
The spiritual city of Kashi is gearing up for a landmark event this October, with plans underway to host its first-ever air show at Namo Ghat. The event is expected to showcase the strength and precision of the Indian Air Force, featuring more than three dozen aircraft, including the Rafale fighter jet.

Preparations are progressing with close coordination between Indian Air Force officials and authorities at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and several other dignitaries are expected to attend the event.

According to officials, the renowned Suryakiran Aerobatic Team is likely to operate from Varanasi Airport, while other aircraft may be deployed from nearby districts. The display is expected to include a range of aircraft and helicopters such as the Rudra, C-295, Tejas, and Dakota.

Varanasi Airport Director Puneet Gupta said Air Force representatives recently visited Kashi to discuss logistical and operational aspects of organizing the show at Namo Ghat. Discussions regarding arrangements at both the ghat and the airport are continuing.

The Suryakiran team is expected to arrive around October 20, with the exercise and demonstrations planned over a five-day period. Officials said the airport is fully supporting the requirements of the Indian Air Force for the event.

The upcoming air show coincides with ongoing expansion work at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport and is expected to draw large crowds. The aerial displays by fighter jets and aerobatic teams promise to offer a spectacular experience for residents and visitors alike.
