The accused, identified as 20-year-old Mohammad Suhail from Gangoh in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, was working at a factory in Karnataka and had been living in Davanagere under a concealed identity, according to officials.
Investigators claim Suhail was in contact with a Pakistan-based terrorist network. Authorities have recovered several suspicious WhatsApp chats, Pakistani contact numbers, and images of weapons from his mobile phone. He is currently being interrogated by both ATS and NIA officials, and may be brought to Uttar Pradesh for further investigation.
Earlier arrests of two individuals from Davanagere and Tumkur reportedly led investigators to Suhail after their interrogation allegedly revealed his involvement. Preliminary findings suggest he was active on social media platforms, where he maintained communication with suspected operatives linked to Pakistan.
Officials further stated that during questioning, Suhail admitted to discussing potential plans targeting the Ram Temple. Forensic teams are now examining recovered images and audio clips from his device, which allegedly contain references to violent intentions.
The investigation is ongoing as agencies continue to trace wider connections in the network.
