As Eid al-Adha celebrations approach in Bangladesh, an unusual buffalo has become an internet sensation for its striking resemblance to Donald Trump.
The nearly 700-kilogram albino buffalo, amusingly named “Donald Trump,” is being raised at Rabeya Agro Farm in the Paikpara area in Narayanganj. The animal has grabbed public attention because of the golden-colored hair on its head, which many visitors believe resembles the former US president’s signature hairstyle.

Curious locals and social media users have been flocking to the farm to catch a glimpse of the buffalo, click selfies, and interact with the calm animal ahead of the Eid festivities.
Farm owner Ziauddin Mridha said he purchased the buffalo from a cattle market in Rajshahi around 10 months ago. According to him, the nickname originated as a joke from his younger brother after noticing the buffalo’s unusual hair.

Mridha described the buffalo as extremely gentle and said albino buffaloes are usually peaceful unless disturbed. He also revealed that the animal has already been sold at a rate of Tk 550 per kilogram based on live weight and is expected to be handed over to its new owner next week.
Many visitors said the buffalo lived up to its online reputation. A local resident shared that he visited the farm after seeing viral Facebook videos and was surprised by how closely the animal resembled Donald Trump.
Another female visitor, who came with her child, admitted she initially thought the comparison was exaggerated on social media. However, after seeing the buffalo in person, she felt the resemblance was indeed remarkable.

The buffalo’s caretaker, Kawser, said the animal receives special attention every day, including four baths daily and a carefully managed diet consisting of corn, oil cake, bran, rice husk, and fresh grass.
