Ingredients for Rice Kheer

4 small cup rice, raisins, saffron, grated nutmeg, rose petals, cashews, chopped almonds, chopped pistachios, cardamom powder, 5 large cup milk, 2 cup sugar, small piece of jaggery

Wash rice thoroughly and soak in plenty of water for one or two hours. Drain the water and keep aside

Boil milk in medium sized pan, add rinsed and drained rice

Cook till rice is soft, mushy, and the texture of kheer becomes thick

Add sugar, jiggery, cardamom powder, grated nutmeg and raisins

Stir continuously till the sugar and jaggery dissolve completely

Garnishing with chopped dry fruits

Add saffron and rose leaves for taste and aroma
