Man murders wife, then buys life-size sex doll with her insurance money

A US man has been found guilty of murdering his wife in 2019, nearly four years after the incident.

Early on Halloween morning 2019, Colby Trickle, a Kansa resident, called 911 to inform authorities that his wife Kristen Trickle had shot herself in their home

After three days, Kristen’s death was ruled a suicide and Colby was free to go on with his life

However, the police continued to look into the case as they suspected Trickle’s hand in his wife’s death

Months later, Trickle, received over $120,000 from two life insurance policies following his wife's death

He spend nearly $2,000 on a life-size sex doll two days after he received the payout, which raised eyebrows

The police flagged that Trickle did not seem like he was going through a mourning process following his wife’s death

21 months after wife’s death, Colby Trickle was charged with first-degree murder and interfering with law enforcement in July, 2021

A jury found Trickle guilty and in November 2023, more than four years after the wife’s death, he was sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of parole for 50 years
