Mumbai: Not long after the widespread protest of Padmaavat, the movie Manikarnika faces protest on allegedly distorting historical facts. A group Brahman Mahasabha has alleged that the upcoming movie, which is based on the life of Jhansi ki Rani, Manikarnika has shown distorted historical facts. Kangana Ranaut is playing the lead role in this movie. Interestingly, the movie is also written by the CBFC chief.
It is to be noted that Karni Sena created a huge uproar over the magnum opus of Bhansali, Padmaavat. The movie has entered 200 crore club. It is to be seen whether Manikarnika gathers the same benefit of protest like Padmaavat or not. However the protest is in the initial stage and it is unlikely to turn as ugly as the previous one.
