Nirav Modi in UK, CBI seeks his extradition

New Delhi: Fugitive billionaire diamond merchant Nirav Modi, who is accused of Rs 13,000 crore bank loan scam is in the UK and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has sought his extradition, agency sources said here on Monday.According to the sources, the UK authorities have confirmed his presence in the country.
The sources said the CBI on Monday moved an extradition request to the Ministry of Home affairs (MHA).On July 2, Interpol had issued Red Corner Notice against the diamantaire for his arrest.(UNI)
