Vivah fame Amrita Rao soon to make a comeback with this Biopic

Mumbai: Actress Amrita Rao will be seen on the silver screen after a long hiatus, with Sanjay Raut's directorial 'Thackeray', a biopic based on life of Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray.
''The bilingual film 'Thackeray' is all set to release next year with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead.  Amrita Rao has been roped in to play the prominent role of Meenatai. Meena Thackeray was the wife of Balasaheb Thackeray,'' trade sources said.
Telling about his choice of having Amrita on board as Meenatai, Sanjay said,''the actress' face reflects the same innocence that was on Meenatai's face.''''Amrita's character spans over three decades, from 1969 to 1995,'' he said.This is the first time Amrita will share screen space with Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The film is expected to hit the screens on January 23.(UNI)
