SRK surrenders before Akshay

Mumbai : "Once Bitten twice shy", this idiom fits perfectly on Shahrukh Khan’s condition on the box office. 

It seems that in the battle of ego and profit, SRK has opted the later one. As he is aware that his stardom is losing sheen gradually. Akshay Kumar starrer “Toilet : Ek Prem Katha” and SRK starrer “Jab Harry met Sejal” were set for a same date release. However, SRK who suffered a lot (in terms of business), due to consecutive dual release, made a sensible decision and changed his mind. 

Now, Jab Harry Met Sejal will be released on 4th August. 

The reason behind the defensive attitude of SRK is the loss incurred at the box office due to clashes. His movie Dilwale had to clash with Bajirao Mastani. In this face off, the latter managed to earn more. 

Then SRK came in and as Raees. The movie was postponed multiple times for release due to which SRK had to bear extra-cost. Still, Shahrukh was unable to become more “Raees” due to a clash with Hrithik Starrer "Kaabil", despite getting the major chunk of collections. 

Probably, SRK has retrospected his status in Bollywood. And now you can see, that the Baadshah is reluctant to make his way difficult for the third time. (WD)
