The arrival of the monsoon has transformed Girnar Hill in Gujarat's Junagadh into a stunning natural attraction, with thick clouds enveloping the mountain and creating breathtaking views for visitors. The mist-covered peaks and lush surroundings have drawn tourists and nature enthusiasts eager to experience the region's scenic beauty.
While the weather has enhanced the hill's charm, strong winds sweeping across the area have prompted authorities to prioritize public safety.
Ropeway Operations Halted Due to High Wind Speeds
The management of the Girnar Ropeway has announced the temporary suspension of ropeway services after wind speeds increased beyond safe operating limits. Officials said the decision was taken as a precaution to ensure the safety of passengers, as adverse weather conditions can affect ropeway operations.
The suspension will remain in effect until weather conditions improve.
Continuous Monitoring Underway
According to the ropeway administration, weather conditions and wind speeds are being monitored round the clock. Services will resume only after the winds return to safe levels and officials are satisfied that operations can be carried out without risk.
In the meantime, tourists planning to visit Girnar have been advised to stay informed through official updates, cooperate with authorities, and follow all safety instructions issued at the site.
