This elderly man raped a board student after she denied marriage

Puducherry: Bahour police registered case against a 35-year-old and and are on the lookout for him on charges of allegedly sexually assaulting a plus two student. According to the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) sources, Manikandan of Madikrishnapuram near Bahour, working as a pharmacist in a private hospital, had a one way love affair with a plus two student from the same area.

Manikandan approached the parents of the girl and sought her hand. However, in view of the age differences, they denied. On June 9, when the girl was alone in her house, Manikandan proposed her and when she refused, he sexually assaulted her and escaped. The girl on the arrival of her parents, told them and they contacted the CWC. CWC, after conducting an inquiry, asked Bahur police to initiate action. (UNI)
