Mumbai 1993 serial blast accused Mustafa Dossa dies in hospital

Mumbai: A prime accused in 1993 serial blast case, Mustafa Dossa died this afternoon. He was hospitalised in the Government-run JJ hospital at 0300 hrs today after complaining of chest pain. ''The post-mortem is underway under the supervision of a three-doctor panel,'' the dean of JJ Hospital, TP Lahane informed. ''It is being conducted as per the jail manual.
 

Further details will only emerge after post-mortem is complete," Mr Lahane said. He was one of the six convicts in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case. It may be recalled that he had earlier informed the special TADA court that about his heart problem and wanted to undergo a bypass surgery. The prosecution has sought the death sentence to Dossa.
