Why Sushant said : “My name is (not) Rajput!”

In an industry, where films like “My Name is Khan” is made and celebrated, what made Sushant feel so ashamed?

And in the same industry, what Sushant (well, he is no longer Sushant Singh Rajput, he gave it up) did? He was so ashamed of an event, as event of slapping – nothing compared to Paris, Peshawar, Pentagon terror attacks by “Khans” – that he decided to give up his Rajput identity. Not that he, or anyone else for that matter, should cling to his or her identity forever, but this is hardly a reason to give it up.

It only goes to shows the lack of self esteem, lack of pride, even lack of common sense and intellect on part of the actor, known for films like “MS Dhoni: An Untold Story.”

What was he thinking, precisely? Let’s examine the thinking process of Sushant.

He thought :

1)    Sanjay Leela Bhansali attacked.
2)    The attackers claimed to be Rajputs.
3)    This is horrible, the street trial, the lynching.
4)    But hang on, I am also a Rajput, so am I also not the culprit?
5)    Since I don’t want to be a culprit, let me give up on being a Rajput.

Kiddish, school children’s logics! To look upon oneself as a Rajput in the first place, to assume that anyone who claims to be a Rajput can share his sense of pride, to align oneself with a mob in the most ridiculous way, and to give on his self imposed identity just because of that. Plain stupid, if you ask me.

Well Sushant, if it wasn't so melodramatic, it would have been absolutely stupid, something which it is anyway. Wake up and grow up, and don’t play to the gallery. The gallery will make a fool out of you -- if you play too much for them -- and will sell you cheap eventually. Get some reality check. Be mature.
