‘So Well Done’: Mohanlal Praises Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam: The Conclusion

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has praised Ajay Devgn-starrer Drishyam: The Conclusion and congratulated its cast and crew on the film’s successful run at the box office.

Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film is the final instalment in the Drishyam franchise. Released on October 2, the movie is on track to cross the Rs 500 crore mark at the global box office.

The film’s production banner shared a video of Mohanlal on its official Instagram handle on Monday, in which the actor expressed his appreciation for the latest instalment.

“II have watched the film, and I am impressed by the way they have brought this much-loved journey to an end. Congratulations to Abhishek Pathak, Ajay Devgn and the entire cast and crew... So well done,” Mohanlal said in the video.

Responding to his appreciation, the makers wrote in the caption, “Thank you so much for your kind appreciation, Mohanlal Sir Lalettan @mohanlal.” The post also urged audiences to book their tickets and noted that Drishyam: The Conclusion was playing in cinemas, using the hashtags DrishyamDay and 2ndOct.

Sharing Mohanlal's video on his Instagram story, Ajay Devgn wrote, "The review that I was eagerly waiting for! Thank you Georgekutty @mohanlal."

Ajay Devgn Returns as Vijay Salgaonkar

In the latest film, Devgn reprises his role as Vijay Salgaonkar, who once again finds himself caught in a cat-and-mouse game with the law.

Alongside Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav return to the franchise for its final chapter. Jaideep Ahlawat joins the cast as Rajveer Singh Tomar, a crime branch officer investigating the case.

How the ‘Drishyam’ Franchise Began

The Hindi Drishyam franchise is adapted from the Malayalam hit starring Mohanlal. It began in 2015 with the film directed by the late filmmaker Nishikant Kamat.

The story follows Vijay Salgaonkar, a cable operator who goes to extraordinary lengths to protect his family after his daughter becomes involved in a crime.

The narrative continued with Drishyam 2, released in 2022, which emerged as one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of that year.

Drishyam: The Conclusion is produced by Panorama Studios and presented by Star Studio18. The film has been written by Abhishek Pathak, Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh.
