Ather Konarc Gets Big Subsidy Benefit in Delhi: Check Price, Variants & Savings

Ather Konarc
Ather has launched its new family-oriented electric scooter, the Konarc, in Delhi at a special introductory effective price. Due to the Delhi EV Policy 2026, the price of the Ather Konarc in the capital can differ from its price in other cities.

According to the company, the regular starting ex-showroom price of the Konarc is Rs.99,999. After applying the subsidy available in Delhi, the effective starting price is Rs.79,999.

The new Delhi EV Policy came into effect on July 1, 2026. Under the policy, electric two-wheelers are eligible for an incentive of Rs.10,000 per kWh of battery capacity during the first year, subject to a maximum benefit of Rs.30,000 per vehicle. The policy also specifies that the ex-factory price of an eligible electric two-wheeler must not exceed Rs.2.25 lakh.

How much subsidy is available on Ather Konarc in Delhi?

The incentive for electric two-wheelers under the Delhi EV Policy varies across the three-year period:

  •  Year 1: Rs.10,000 per kWh, up to Rs.30,000
  •  Year 2: Rs.6,600 per kWh, up to Rs.20,000
  •  Year 3: Rs.3,300 per kWh, up to Rs.10,000

This means the timing of the launch and availability of different Konarc variants could affect the state incentive available to buyers.

Ather Konarc variants and expected launch timeline

Ather plans to offer the Konarc S with four IDC-certified range options — 100 km, 125 km, 161 km and 200 km.

At present, the 125 km and 161 km Konarc S variants are available in selected cities.

According to Ather, the expected timeline for the other variants is:

  •  Konarc S 100 km: Q4 FY27
  •  Konarc S 200 km: Around Q3 FY28
  •  Konarc Z 125 km and 161 km: Around Q1 FY28

The company has also said deliveries of some Konarc variants have already started in selected cities.

When will the 100 km Konarc arrive?

The 100 km IDC-range version of the Ather Konarc is not currently available for purchase. The company plans to introduce it in Q4 FY27, meaning it is expected to arrive during the fourth quarter of financial year 2027.

If the launch takes place according to the announced schedule, its availability could coincide with the first year of the Delhi EV Policy, when the maximum two-wheeler incentive is Rs.30,000, subject to eligibility.

When will the 200 km range model launch?

The 200 km IDC version of the Konarc S is scheduled to arrive later. Ather expects sales to begin around Q3 FY28.

This could mean the model becomes available during the second year of the Delhi EV Policy, when the maximum incentive for eligible electric two-wheelers is Rs.20,000. The actual benefit would depend on the model meeting the policy's eligibility requirements.

Additional benefit for scrapping an old scooter

The Delhi EV Policy also provides a separate incentive linked to vehicle scrappage.

Eligible customers who scrap a Delhi-registered BS-IV or older two-wheeler at an authorised scrapping centre can receive an additional benefit. The new electric vehicle must be purchased within six months of the Certificate of Deposit being issued by the authorised scrapping facility.

This benefit is separate from the standard EV purchase incentive calculated according to battery capacity.

What makes the Ather Konarc different?

Ather has designed the Konarc with family and everyday use in mind. The scooter gets a metal body, steel unibody chassis, 14-inch alloy wheels, long-travel suspension and 31-litre boot space.

According to the company, the scooter also features a 7-inch dashboard, along with an option for a battery warranty of up to 10 years.

Currently, the Konarc S is available with 125 km and 161 km IDC range options in selected markets. Actual riding range can be lower than the certified IDC figures. Ather lists a TrueRange of 100 km for the 125 km version and 130 km for the 161 km version.

What does the Delhi subsidy mean for Konarc buyers?

The first-year incentive under the Delhi EV Policy can significantly affect the effective purchase price of an eligible electric two-wheeler. However, since different Konarc variants are scheduled to arrive at different times, the government benefit may not be the same for every version.

Buyers planning to purchase an Ather Konarc in Delhi should therefore consider the variant's price, battery capacity, availability date and the EV incentive applicable at the time of purchase.

Under the Delhi EV Policy, the two-wheeler incentive starts at Rs.10,000 per kWh, capped at Rs.30,000 in the first year, before reducing in subsequent years. Ather's stated starting price for the Konarc is Rs.99,999, with four IDC range options planned across the lineup.  ALSO READ: Volkswagen, Audi to recall almost 1 million cars in Germany
