Guj CM Bhupendra Patel inaugurates development projects worth ₹584 crore
On September 23, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel performed the e-inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony for various development projects worth Rs 584 crore in Ahmedabad. Under this project, the Vadaj Junction and Makarba Railway Overbridges were inaugurated, providing permanent relief to approximately 300,000 motorists from severe traffic congestion. Housing scheme houses and modern fire brigade equipment were also inaugurated in Shahibaug and Thaltej.
New Bus Depot, Housing Scheme, and Appointment Letters Distributed
To enhance the city's convenience, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new bus station's charging station and the new bus depot was held. A draw for a housing scheme for poor and middle-class families was held during the event. Additionally, to further strengthen the administrative system, selected candidates for the positions of Assistant Technical Supervisor and Junior Clerk were presented with appointment letters on the spot.
Chief Minister's Advice on Maintaining a Positive Attitude in the Age of Reels
During the event, the Chief Minister spoke about the current social media era, saying, "These days it's the era of reels. If anyone faces even the slightest problem, they immediately make a reel and post it. However, society and the administration should always remain positive." He further emphasized that if any issue is reported in the media or social media, it should first be thoroughly investigated and corrected if necessary.
Inaugurations from Pandit Deendayal Hall and 'Swachhata Hi Seva' Campaign
Development works worth ₹584 crore were e-inaugurated from Pandit Deendayal Hall in Bodakdev. On this occasion, an intensive cleanliness drive was organized in Ghuma village under the 'Swachhata Hi Seva' campaign. As part of this campaign, Ghuma's M.K. A painting competition will also be organized for students of Patel Anupam Primary School to increase awareness and public participation regarding cleanliness and the environment among children.
Y-shaped bridge completed at Wadaj Circle at a cost of Rs 62 crore
To address the long-standing traffic problem at Wadaj Junction, the Municipal Corporation has constructed a four-lane overbridge at a cost of ₹62 crore. The construction of this Y-shaped bridge will greatly benefit motorists traveling towards Ranip, Usmanpura, Gandhi Ashram, Bhimjipura, and Shahibaug. According to an estimate, this bridge will save time and fuel for approximately 150,000 motorists daily.
Two branches of Wadaj Bridge towards Ranip and Gandhi Ashram
This overbridge at Wadaj Junction has been divided into two sections for ease of traffic. The first branch is a four-lane road from Usmanpura to Ranip, approximately 700 meters long and 15 meters wide. The second branch, approximately 365 meters long and 5.5 meters wide, extends from Usmanpura to Gandhi Ashram.
Makarba Railway Overbridge Provides Major Relief to 1.5 Lakh Motorists
The over 800-meter-long Makarba Railway Overbridge on the Ahmedabad-Botad Railway Line was completed at a cost of ₹98.60 crore. Work began in September 2023 and was delayed by approximately one and a half years due to a broken drainage line, changes in pillar design due to underground utility lines, and delays on the part of the Railways. The opening of this bridge will significantly facilitate the 1.5 lakh motorists commuting between Sarkhej-Juhapura and the SG Highway.
