Tarun Chugh Appointed New Gujarat BJP In-Charge
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) central leadership and national president have announced new in-charges and co-in-charges for several states as part of efforts to strengthen and energise the party’s organisational structure across the country. The changes have been made keeping in mind the BJP’s upcoming political strategies and electoral preparations.
Under the new appointments, experienced leaders have been given organisational responsibilities in politically significant states, including Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.
Tarun Chugh Appointed Gujarat BJP In-Charge
As part of the reshuffle, BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh has been appointed the new in-charge of the Gujarat BJP. He has been entrusted with the responsibility of providing fresh direction to the party organisation in the state, improving coordination between the party and the government, and boosting the morale of BJP workers.
The central leadership aims to further strengthen the party’s presence at the grassroots and booth levels while accelerating organisational activities to maintain the BJP’s strong position in Gujarat.
Organisational Changes in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab Too
Along with Gujarat, the BJP has announced new in-charges for several other important states, including Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.
According to the party leadership, the new organisational arrangement is aimed at ensuring that the BJP’s state units function more effectively at the local level and that government schemes and party policies reach people across the country.

Who Is Tarun Chugh?
Tarun Chugh, the BJP’s new Gujarat in-charge, is a national general secretary of the party and a Rajya Sabha MP. Originally from Amritsar in Punjab, Chugh has been actively involved in the BJP’s organisational activities for several years and has emerged as a committed party organiser.
The BJP has previously entrusted him with responsibilities in politically sensitive regions. He has served as the party’s in-charge for Telangana, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh, gaining extensive experience in handling organisational challenges in diverse political environments.
