New Delhi: Enforcing the Supreme Court order strictly in the national capital, Delhi Police on Wednesday raided 13 areas, leading to recovery of 1241 kg crackers and arrested 29 people in this connection.
Police sources said Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik had directed the Deputy Commissioners of Police of these 13 regions to ensure that crackers were not sold in the city. Special teams were formed to carry out the orders, which led to the big seizure. The sources further said that 29 FIRs had been registered in this connection. (UNI)
