Cloudburst in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu; tourist camps, houses washed away, several missing (VIDEO)
Shimla: At least four to six people are said to be missing following a cloudburst in Kullu district near a Manikaran, Superintendent of Police Gurudev Singh said.
"Four to six persons and livestock were washed away after a flood caused by very heavy rainfall and cloudburst in Chojh village on Wednesday," Singh said.
A rescue team was stuck on the way to Chojh village of Challal Panchayat following landslide on the Kasol -Jaimala Road. The rescue team of fire and police were deployed for the operation.
Heavy rainfall has also wreaked havoc in Shimla where a teen died and two others were hit by landslide near Dhalli tunnel. Flash flood occurred at Malana Project-II under T Bhuntar Tehsil of Kullu district at 7.35 am leading to 25 to 30 workers getting stuck inside a building. All were rescued safely. (UNI)
