Devendra Fadnavis resigns from the post of Maha CM

Mumbai:on Friday resigned as the chief minister of in the wake of the tenure of the incumbent Maharashtra Assembly getting over on November 9.The governor has asked
him to continue as Acting Chief Minister, till alternate arrangements are made.

Earlier, The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party-alliance won 161 constituencies  out of which BJP bagged highest 105 and Shiv sena won only 56.  the opposition Congress-Nationalist Party nominees won 44 and 54 seats respectively, Later a 50-50 deal  was struck by Shiv Sena which said the 5 year of tenure should be divided between both the parties. After 14 days of dillema Fadnavis finally had no option to resign. (UNI)
