New Delhi:Senior leader and MCD in-charge Shri Durgesh Pathak on Sunday said that the Delhi Police is repeatedly harassing volunteers for putting posters questioning the Prime Minister regarding the unavailability of vaccines. He said that the Delhi Police has been harassing over 500 on this matter.

He said that on behalf of the AAP he wanted to take the onus of these posters and the Delhi police must arrest him, and appealed to them not to harass the poor volunteers. Shri Pathak said that the AAP will not bow down to such intimidation and such postering along with protest against the export of vaccine without providing it to the Indians will continue.
Senior AAP leader and MCD in-charge Shri Durgesh Pathak addressed a press conference and said “Namashkar, today throughout India there are piles of dead bodies everywhere. Today, people of all ages have fallen into the grip of Covid-19 and have lost their lives. Some are not finding hospitals, some are dying due to oxygen shortage, some aren’t getting ICUs, some are dying on the roads, some are losing their lives in ambulances. Everywhere only dead bodies can be seen. The situation is so adverse that cremation centers have filled up completely. Today thousands of bodies are floating in the rivers. Such horrible scenes, such a dire situation has never been faced by India. Such distressing situations never came upon the people of India before.

The lives of lakhs of people could have been saved; the lives of lakhs of people could have been preserved if they had somehow gotten a vaccine dose. Today people are sitting in front of the computer throughout the night to find vaccine slots. Today people are just making do what they can so that they can get the vaccine somehow. Today the elderly, our people above 45 years, are struggling in vaccine centers and dispensaries. They are not getting the vaccines! The only reason for this is that the Prime Minister of India and the Bharatiya Janta Party’s government have exported crores of vaccines of our country abroad. Crores of vaccines of this country that could have been given to our children, that could have been applied to our mothers, which could have been given to our aged elderly, those vaccines were sent abroad. They were sent to Pakistan, sent to Bangladesh, sent to Iran. Crores of vaccines were sent to 94 countries by Modi Ji. Because of this, today the people of India are suffering. They are dying in torment.”

He said, “And today when people are asking as to why did Modi Ji send their children’s vaccines abroad, today when the people of India are asking as to why did Modi Ji send our children’s vaccines abroad, Modi Ji’s Delhi Police is registering FIRs and sending our workers to jail. Today 2 workers from Karawal Nagar were imprisoned, 2 workers from Ghonda, 2 workers from Mangolpuri, from Rithala, from Ambedkar Nagar, from Mangodi, from Kalkaji, from Mangolpuri, around 500-550 party workers were called in the morning and  interrogated by the police till night. What is their crime? Their crime is that they asked Modi Ji this question that Modi Ji why did you send our children’s vaccines abroad. They asked this question that Modi Ji this vaccine of our children that could have saved our mother, which could have saved our sister, which could have saved our children, why did you send that vaccine abroad. We asked this question, and due to this question, today we are being arrested, our workers are being arrested.”

Shri Pathak said, “I’d like to tell the Delhi Police, I’d like to tell the Bharatiya Janta Party that you cannot arrest somebody for asking such questions because we live in a democracy. But despite this if you want to arrest, if you think that people will be silenced by imprisonment, then we’d like to tell you that these posters were put up by the Aam Aadmi Party, these posters were put up by me. If you want to arrest, then arrest us, arrest our MLAs. Those poor, miserable people who paste these posters for Rs.100-200, those who drive autos, those who drive rickshaws, you are beating them up, you are calling them to the police station and arresting them. This dictatorship will not work. So if you want to arrest then arrest us! We have put up these posters and put them up in every corner of Delhi. We will not stop; we will put up more posters and put them up in the entire country. Every citizen is asking this question that Modi Ji why did you send our children’s vaccines to other countries, to Pakistan. We have with us Kuldeep Bhai. Today 3 workers were picked up from the assembly and put in jail, 10 workers have been detained since morning! The police are continuously calling him; I’d like him to tell it.”
Senior AAP leader and MLA Shri Kuldeep Kumar took over the mike and said “As Durgesh Bhai told just now the entire country is asking this question that Modi Ji why did you send our children’s vaccines abroad. This question is also being asked by my people in the Vidhan Sabha that every youngster is calling me to ask when will our number come for vaccination, when will get vaccinated; we don’t have an answer. Today that youth would have been vaccinated at least twice if our children’s vaccines hadn’t been sent abroad. And I would like to tell the Delhi Police as well as Modi Ji that you are arresting our poor workers, these people fixing posters. If you want to know who put up these posters, these posters have been put up by us at places in Delhi, on Delhi’s roads, we have put up these posters and we are claiming full responsibility. If you want to file a case then file it against us, and not on those poor people who paste these posters. This mission will continue till the people of Delhi don’t get vaccines, till the people of this country don’t get vaccines. Till then this mission will continue and the people of the country will keep on asking, from how many questions will you run. You will have to give an answer as to why did you send our share of vaccines abroad.”
