Dera chief convicted in rape case, punishment on Aug 28

Chandigarh: The CBI Special Court today convicted Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in a rape case dating back to 2002. CBI Judge Jagdeep Singh pronounced the verdict.

The quantum of punishment will be announced on August 28. The Haryana police have taken the Dera chief into custody.
