Finally, PM Modi meets his Canadian counterpart
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met his Canadian counterpart Justin Trudeau on Friday and hoped for talks on further strengthening of India-Canada relations in all spheres.Mr Modi gave a ceremonial welcome to Mr Trudeau and interacted with his family at Rashtrapati Bhavan here.Mr Modi is going to hold bilateral talks with the Canadian Premier, a day after the controversy over a dinner invitation to convicted Khalistani terrorist Jaspal Atwal by the Canadian High Commissioner to India blew up.
Mr Trudeau reached Rashtrapati Bhawan in the morning and was received by Mr Modi and other ministers.Both the countries have indicated that they are looking at a fresh start to India-Canada ties.'I hope PM @JustinTrudeau and his family had a very enjoyable stay so far. I particularly look forward to meeting his children Xavier, Ella-Grace, and Hadrien.
