JD murder case: Chhota Rajan convicted
Mumbai: A Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court here on Wednesday convicted gangster Chhota Rajan and nine others in the case of the murder of journalist Jyotirmoy Dey.
Journalists Jigna Vora and Paulson Joseph were set free by the court.
The verdict comes nearly seven years after Dey was shot dead in suburban Mumbai.
Dey, 56, Editor (Investigations) of Midday Eveninger, was shot dead on June 11, 2011, near his Powai residence in Mumbai at the behest of Chota Rajan.
Chota Rajan is currently lodged in Tihar Central Jail in New Delhi. (UNI)
