Nashik TCS Harassment & Conversion Case: Accused Nida Khan Arrested After Weeks on the Run
In a major breakthrough in the alleged TCS employee harassment and forced religious conversion case, accused Nida Khan was arrested in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and brought to Nashik late Thursday night by joint teams of the Crime Branch and Nashik Police after evading arrest for several weeks.
According to police officials, Khan had been absconding since March 25, prompting authorities to launch an extensive manhunt across multiple locations. She was eventually traced and taken into custody in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar before being shifted to Nashik Road Police Station, where formal arrest procedures were carried out.
Police have booked Khan under multiple serious charges, including the alleged sexual harassment of a female TCS employee, mental harassment, and involvement in forced religious conversion activities. Investigators allege that she played a key supporting role for the prime accused and was actively involved in facilitating coercive conversion-related operations.
During the investigation, officials reportedly found that Khan remained in regular contact with other accused individuals while she was on the run. Authorities believe these communications could provide crucial leads into a larger network allegedly linked to the case.
Sources associated with the probe said the arrest is likely to speed up the investigation significantly. Police are now examining possible financial transactions and suspected international connections, including allegations of foreign funding and overseas links.
