Informatively, the Prime Minister will also address the Puja revellers virtually in select Pandals spread across Bengal on Thursday.
“This was the first time a PM had taken time out of his busy schedule to bond with Bengalis over Durga Puja,” the sources informed.
Mr Modi will also virtually participate in the Puja being organised by the BJP Mohila Morcha and its cultural wing at Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC)
“We have been given the responsibility to host Durga Puja at EZCC this year. This is the first time we will be organising a Puja,” said BJP Mahila Morcha’s Bengal unit president Agnimitra Paul.
Mr Modi, however, does not have the ‘first mover’ advantage in Bengal, as Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee already inaugurated 69 Pujas across 10 districts on October 14. (UNI)
