Siwan: Unidentified criminals shot dead an RJD leader at Sheikhpura village under Basantpur police station area in the district today. Police said here that outlaws shot at young RJD leader Minhaz Khan on his head after entering into his house through roof. The RJD leader who was fast asleep at the time of attack died on the spot.

Police recovered one carbine and bomb each, some live cartridge and other incriminating objects from the spot. Tension has gripped the village following the murder. The body could not be sent for autopsy due to local people`s protest. An FIR had been registered against five people in this connection, police added. (UNI)
