11000 kms long National Highway proposed in 4 poll bound states in Budget 2021

New Delhi:The government will aim to complete 11,000 km of infrastructure in states which includes Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Assam, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday said while presenting the Budget in the Lok Sabha.
Ms Sitharaman said will get Rs 1.03 lakh crore for building 3,500 km of roads, Rs 65,000 crore for 1,500 km of roads, West Bengal Rs 95,000 crore for 675 km road and will see 1,300 km roads being constructed.
"Government aims to complete 11,000 km of national highway infrastructure this year," she said.Ms Sitharaman received a loud thumping from the Bharatiya Janata Party members when she announced West Bengal's name as it goes to poll in mid of this year.
Interestingly, all the four states are poll bound.(UNI)
