Survey of Gyanvapi mosque complex begins
Varanasi: Videography and survey work at Gyanvapi mosque complex here resumed on Saturday amid tight security arrangements. According to sources, the entire area has been cordoned off.
"Only Advocate Commissioners, counsels of both the parties, litigant and respondents and district administration officials are allowed to enter the area," they said.
As per the directives of the court, the survey work started at 8 am and will continue till 12 noon. The District Magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma has called a meeting of the parties involved in the matter.
Meanwhile, the administration has appealed to the people to cooperate in the survey and maintain peace in the city. It may be noted that Civil Judge (Senior Division) Ravi Kumar Diwakar has issued orders to re-start videography and survey work in Gyanvapi mosque complex on Friday.
The court has directed the team of commissioners to submit their report before May 17, which is fixed as the next date of hearing. (UNI)
