Indian Athlete Dutee Chand qualifies for Tokyo Olympics 2020
Athlete Dutee Chand is the latest to secure a birth in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics scheduled in the last week of this month.
Sports Authority of India informed that Sprinter Dutee Chand qualifies for #Tokyo2020 through her world ranking in both the 100m (41st) and 200m (50th). She will be participating in her 2nd #Olympics:
After her qualification, Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju took to the micro blogging site Twitter and wrote "I congratulate Dutee Chand on qualifying for the #TokyoOlympics through her world ranking in both the 100m and 200m. I'm confident our athletes will give their best at #Tokyo2020:"
Sprinter Dutee Chand who qualified for #Tokyo2020, thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his support and motivational talks which encouraged her to work hard and bring laurels for the country.
