In a shocking incident, a newborn's body was found in a toilet dustbin at Terminal 2 of Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.
According to reports, the infant’s body was discovered at around 10:30 pm on Tuesday, March 25.
The body was discovered by housekeeping staff during their routine cleaning, and the airport security was immediately alerted.
The baby was rushed to Cooper Hospital, where doctors confirmed ‘death prior to admission’.
The police have launched an investigation to identify the individual responsible for abandoning the baby and have registered a case against an unknown person. They are reviewing CCTV footage and questioning staff to gather leads.
