After Four Decades, Hrithik and Rajinikanth Share Screen Space Again in ‘Jailer 2’
Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan is all set to make a special appearance in Rajinikanth's highly anticipated film Jailer 2, bringing the two actors back together on screen nearly 40 years after they first shared screen space in the 1986 film Bhagwaan Dada.
After weeks of negotiations, Roshan has reportedly given his nod to the project and is scheduled to shoot his scenes in Chennai on June 22 and 23. Sources close to the production reveal that the actor will undergo several look tests, with the filmmakers crafting a completely fresh and distinctive appearance for his character.
The cameo is expected to be mounted on a grand scale, with Roshan portraying an action-packed role designed to leave a strong impact. Insiders suggest that his character enters the story at a crucial juncture and plays a key role in helping Rajinikanth's protagonist move the narrative forward.
The appearance marks Roshan's first major project commitment since the release of War 2 in August 2025.
Interestingly, Roshan's connection with Rajinikanth dates back to his childhood. He made his acting debut as a child artist in Bhagwaan Dada, where he played the foster son of Rajinikanth's character. Over the years, the actor has often spoken about his admiration for the legendary star and his wish to collaborate with him again, making Jailer 2 a long-awaited reunion.
