Akshay Kumar's "Bhooth Bangla" release delayed to May 2026
Bollywood star Akshay Kumar's highly anticipated return to the horror comedy genre has been slightly delayed. with his upcoming film bhooth bangla now scheduled for release on May 15, 2026.
Helmed by master storyteller Priyadarshan, 'Bhoot Bangla' jointly produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta R Kapoor and Akshay Kumar under the banners of Cape of Good Films and Balaji Telefilms and co-produced by Faraa Sheikh and Vedant Bali.
The film's narrative has been penned by Akash A Kaushik, while the screenplay has been collaboratively shaped by Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair and Priyadarshan himself. The dialogues have been provided by Rohan Shankar.
The project also reunites Akshay and Tabu after their work in the 2000 cult classic "Hera Pheri", which too was helmed by Priyadarshan. Joining them are an ensemble of seasoned performers, including Paresh Rawal, Wamiqa Gabbi, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani, all of whom are expected to deliver a mix of hilarity and suspense
