Celebrity chef and MasterChef India Season 1 winner Pankaj Bhadouria has revealed that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Sharing the news through an emotional Instagram post, she requested her followers and well-wishers to pray for her recovery.

After the announcement, social media was flooded with messages of support, love, and healing wishes from fans, followers, and members of the culinary community.

A few days ago, Pankaj had shared that she underwent a preventive full-body health check-up and stressed the importance of regular medical screening, especially for people above the age of 45.

In her earlier post dated May 17, she wrote, “I just went for my full body check up and I think it is very important to do it on an annual basis. If you are above 45 or your parents are above 45, then read this! Health is not just about treating illness… it’s about preventing it before it begins. Regular preventive check-ups can detect problems early, improve outcomes, and give you peace of mind. Don’t wait for symptoms to appear—your future self will thank you later!”



As of now, no information has been shared regarding the stage of her breast cancer.

Several celebrities and fans have extended their support online. MasterChef Gurkirat wrote, “Sending lots of love and good vibes, healing energy.” One fan commented that Pankaj is a “fighter” and would you will recover soon. Another follower, who identified herself as a Stage 3 cancer survivor, shared an emotional note encouraging Pankaj to stay strong and continue fighting bravely.

Pankaj Bhadouria became a household name after winning MasterChef India in 2010. Before entering the culinary world, she worked as an English teacher in Lucknow and left her 16-year-long teaching career to pursue her passion for cooking.

Originally from Delhi, Pankaj now runs a culinary academy in Lucknow and enjoys a massive fan following on social media, where she regularly shares recipes and kitchen tips with her 2.6 million Instagram followers.
