Peddi broke Ram Charan Physically with heavy jolts in Wrestling bouts
Actor Ram Charan reportedly endured several real-life injuries while filming the physically demanding wrestling sequences for his upcoming period action drama "Peddi", underscoring his commitment to authenticity on screen.
The actor suffered multiple injuries, including a severe cartilage tear in his wrist and a cut above his left eye, while shooting for high-octane wrestling sequences in director Buchi Babu Sana's upcoming film.
Known for his sincerity in portraying his roles, Charan insisted on working with real wrestlers for several scenes in the film. However, many of these wrestlers were unable to control their strikes during shooting, as their natural instincts, developed through the sport, often took over the scenes. The aggressive grappling and highly realistic wrestling moves often resulted in violent collisions resulting an injury. After each take wrestler would often apologize to actor for inadverntly causing injury.
The effects of this extremely challenging shoot reportedly lingered on the 41 year old actor even after filming concluded. The actor revealed that the constant wrestling and the grappling sequences caused severe tension and tremor in his injured list, making even normal activities painful after filming.
Set in rural Andhra Pradesh in the 1980's & 90's, Peddi is an period action drama.Charan plays a simple laborer who struggles against the oppressive forces to protect the identity dignity & survival of his marginalised community.
